The Club’s main annual event is held in June based in the area around Broughton Castle near Banbury, with a run or other event on the Saturday followed by the Club’s annual dinner and then an assembly with a concours and a driving test on the Sunday.
This year the weekend’s events will start with a lunchtime meeting from 12 noon, at The Great Western Arms, Aynho, Nr. Banbury, OX17 3BP.
All cars should be at The Holt Hotel by 4pm and we will hold a much shortened AGM at 5pm. The format of the AGM will be somewhat different from previous years with Club office holders providing a written report in the June LeaFlet. At the AGM members will be provided with a summary of the state of the Club, including the latest Accounts and Membership numbers, elect the committee and discuss key matters of interest and answer any questions raised. If there is a particular item that you would like included on the Agenda for the AGM, please could you notify Stephen Chittock, our Club Secretary, in advance if possible.
Following the AGM, and pre-dinner drinks, we will move into the dining room for our dinner during which we will hand out the prizes for the Scatter Rally. There will also be an opportunity to vote for the winner of the Bill Boddy Trophy. This is awarded annually to the writer of the LeaFlet article deemed to be the best by the members of the Club from a shortlist produced by the Editor.
On Sunday 10 June we will, as usual, be based at Broughton Castle Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX15 5EB, where there will be the usual concours, driving tests and prize giving.
The Lea-Francis Owners’ Club is registered with the MSA for the purpose of holding competitions.
The Lea-Francis Owners’ Club AGM 2018
As detailed above this will be held at 5pm on Saturday 9 June 2018 at The Holt Hotel, Oxford Road, Bicester, OX25 5QQ immediately before the Club dinner.
